Pizza English Muffins by Debbie

Ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef
1 1/2 pounds bulk pork sausage
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
3 packages (12 ounces each) English muffins, split
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese

Assembly:
In a large pot, cook the beef, sausage, and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Drain. Stir in the tomato paste, garlic salt, oregano, and cayenne. Spread over the cut side of each English muffin. Place on baking sheets. Combine the cheese and sprinkle over the meat mixture on each English muffin. Cover and freeze for up to 3 months. To eat right away, bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes.

Serving Day:
Bake from frozen at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Enjoy!

  1. We liked these. The kids noted that they did not taste like pizza, but they still liked them. The adults felt the same.

  2. Our family loved these "little Pizza's" There was plenty for all. A few kids commented that it was spicy, but I only found it to be in a few bites per pizza. Not sure why. Great taste.
