Honey Sesame Chicken by Tiffany

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast

Serving Day:
  1. Thaw freezer bag overnight in refrigerator or in the morning in water.
  2. Add contents of freezer bag to crockpot and cook on “low” setting for 4 hours in a 6-quart crockpot or 8 hours in a 4-quart crockpot.
  3. Top with sesame seeds and serve with steamed broccoli and rice.

  1. This was a little too salty for us. I would either eliminate the salt or use low sodium soy sauce or maybe even both of those. It was not enough to feed six adults. Probably need four chicken breasts instead of two.

  2. We also liked the dish though it was very salty. We added fresh steamed broccoli and roasted asparagus.
